October is breast cancer awareness month. Cancer Connect NI will be bringing you a series of information on breast cancer and the work we do through our specialist bra and swimwear fitting service which is provided by trained volunteers Anne Foggin and Mary Connolly.
As part of our Breast Cancer Awareness Month we are delighted to announce the Cancer Connect NI Gift to Uplift Project.
Local artist Noelle McAlinden led a group of women including Cancer Connect NI Patron, Lisa McHugh in a Creative Bra Workshop at South West College on September 19th which will conclude with an exhibition of the decorated bras. The “Gift To Uplift Project” will also see images from the designs created be used to launch a gift cards and voucher scheme. This will enable friends and family to support women who have had breast surgery by purchasing a gift Voucher to be used to buy specialist lingerie and swimwear at Cancer Connect NI.
Thank you to Noelle and all the ladies who attended this fun evening. We are also deeply grateful to South West College, Enniskillen Campus for use of their premises. We would like to extend a special thank you to our Patron, Lisa McHugh for her generous contribution towards the printing costs of the gift cards and vouchers.
If you would like to support the work of Cancer Connect NI, you can donate online by clicking the donate button on our website or text CCNI11 £2 to 70070 (amount optional).
